Tree of Life 2

CA$155.00

Original linocut print on archival Stonehenge white paper.

12” x 15” image on 11” x 15” paper

Limited edition of 30

Jesus has sometimes been likened to the Tree of Life in Genesis and also in Revelation. I wanted to create an image that looks like a tree but is of life flowing out of the hands of Christ at creation. It is also an image of hope for the time when those same hands will bring reconcilliation, represented by the inclusion of animals that are predetor and prey in the natural world ala Isaiah 11:6 among other places. ("The wolf shall live with the lamb, the leopard shall lie down with the kid, the calf and the lion and the fatling together, and a little child shall lead them.")
